Stephanie & Zachary | 7.9.17
I met Stephanie & Zachary for the first time on their wedding day, which is pretty rare for me. I like to establish a relationship with the couple before the wedding day so that I can make sure that photography is one thing they don't have to worry about on their day. Sometimes just putting a face to a company name can do a lot to alleviate questions & stress.
Stephanie & Zach were both sooo go with the flow, that it didn't surprise me that they decided to forego the wedding consult. This feeling of 'let it be' continued their whole day.
It was a really, really warm day. I had to gulp down a water bottle during the middle of the ceremony to stay alive. (P.S. Stephanie - how the heck did you not break a sweat all day? Tell me your secrets plz)
After the ceremony, I got lots of time with Stephanie & Zachary to take their couples portraits. If you are planning your wedding and reading this, here is my advice: Plan at least 45 minutes for couples portraits, and plan it for the 40 minutes before sunset. (That way you get sunset pictures as well) Your photographer will love you for it!
Favorite Detail: The succulents in her bouquet. I am a succ-er for succulets *buh dmmm tsss*
Tear Jerking Moment: When they had a last dance of the night, just the two of them and the DJ in the room. I think it's so important for couples to take time for themselves - to soak it all in.
A Stephanie & Zachary Kind of Love: An adventuring kind of love - they met on a cruise boat! One of the sweetest pieces I saw of their love was Zach's pure devotion to Stephanie. It didn't matter who was around or who was looking, he would always be affectionate and attentive to Stephanie. It. Was. Adorable.
